Meet the Photographer!

My name is Dorothy Frimpong, and I am a photographer based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I have loved the visual arts ever since I was a child, and once I got my first “camera” (an iPod touch), photography very quickly became my art. So, in 2020, I decided to buy my first camera and have been shooting ever since.

My photographic practice primarily focuses on portraiture, beauty, and fashion. What draws me to photography is the creative process of bringing an idea to life; capturing people and telling stories through images. I enjoy exploring the relationships between colour, light, and composition to create cohesive photos. I believe God has made everyone unique, and through photography, I can highlight those qualities. 

While I primarily photograph digitally, as I develop my style, I aim to improve my technical skills and explore new techniques to produce distinctive and memorable visuals.
